Hi TEW Fans! It's Maureen here! I've been off the grid for a bit in terms of The East Wind and new releases and have really missed it here. I recently had surgery on my right hand - the good one - and I'm just getting back into colouring and creating. So this is my first proper creation for The East Wind since I had my operation and I am using the Lucy Loo Pirate image that Kyra coloured for you in yesterday's ShowRoom Post!
I have coloured her using Promarkers and it's not my best work but my hand is still getting sore with too much work! I have used paper from my stash and some black organza ribbon and black sticky pearls. While I was recuperating I treated myself to a Silhouette Cameo machine and decided to find some Pirate themed cutting files! So the black frame, the sentiment and the other die cuts have all come from the Cameo.
I hope you like my card. This is inspiration for the brand new Facebook Contest over at The East Wind Facebook Group - you should come and join us for more inspiration and prizes!
Thanks!

Some of you might be wonder WHY am I using copic + colour pencils normally.
well, I am so used to pencil, main reason was actually I could not afford too much Copic markers which is half price back home ( South Korea ). However, I do like Copic+colour pencil combination for few reasons, and I will probably buy the whole sets if I ever go back to Korea for visit. well for now, I will use different markers as well.
You will see, in some of the following videos, I will be running out of ink. lol

Maureen's July Fun with The East Wind
Hi everybody!!! It's Maureen here with some of my makes for July using the fabulous images at The East Wind Etsy Shop! I hope you like what you see!
This first card is for the current Challenge #11 at The East Wind. The theme is It's Getting Hot in Here and I've used Ashley 3, coloured her with my Promarkers and used Beach Babe papers from Fancy Pants. I've used some dies and created a flowery theme too.
This next card was made for my Design Team inspiration at Crafting by Designs - the theme there was 'Use a Sentiment' so I found a fabulous one over at Gingers House and teamed it up with Lucy Loo 'Heart Lips'. Again, I've used my Promarkers teamed with some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and papers from Craftwork Cards.
We've had a few new Lucy Loo releases last week and you probably know by now I love Lucy!!! hahaha So I've created a Wall Hanging with Lucy Loo Hocus Pocus using Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells papers and flowers from my stash.
I've also used 'Professor Loo' in a slightly CAS card with another sentiment from Gingers House.
nd finally, we have a brand new Facebook Contest that you should hop over and have a look at! The theme is 'Just for a Laugh' and I have used Lucy Loo with a Mustache for mine with a funny pun!
I hope you've enjoyed looking at these projects - there were more in July, but I'll save them for another day! You can see all my projects for The East Wind here!
Here are the links you need -
Thanks for looking!

Some inspirations from Mo!
At The East Wind, we have 2 challenges/contests running most of the time, this means two chances to win fabulous images from Unky!
You are here on our Blog so you will hopefully be aware that we have a Challenge starting on the 1st and 15th of every month here on the blog. The current challenge is #7 Bride of May and we want to see your Wedding themed projects!
For this I have used an alternative bride! Cos us alternative chicks want to look pretty on our wedding day too! hahaha Lucy Loo 'Blow the Skull Kiss' is the image I've used, colouring her up in Ivory and pale skin tones.
The papers I have used are from British company, Craftwork Cards and are from their 'Tea Dance' collection with soft creams and pinks to compliment the Ivory dress. I've made a bow with the same papers and the sentiment is also from Craftwork Cards. The layers are built up with some white pearlescent paper too and an X-Cut border punch creates a lace effect on one of the mats.
Now, the Challenge Blog will likely be all frilly and pretty and girly and we love that! But, I'm also a fan of the darker side of crafting and love a bit of Halloween! So, for those of you who like that too - we have a fabulous Facebook Contest going till the 17th of June with the theme 'Something Out of the Norm'!
I have used a Witchy image and coloured it with pencils, rather than my 'normal' Promarkers! I've layered her up with papers from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium pad and lots of black pearlescent papers. I've finished it off with a Tim Holtz 'Scaredy Cat' die cut and Cheery Lynn spiderweb corner die.
As you can see, a very different card to what you would 'normally' see over at The East Wind. Now, you dont have to make a card, our other DT members have created tags and altered notebooks, you can go dark and creepy or just make something out of your own 'norm', out of your comfort zone - if it's not clear, let us know what makes it out of the norm for you!
Why not join our Facebook Group for more inspiration!
I hope you will join our two challenges and best of luck!
