Colouring Aurora 'Maple' #16
HI Extraordinary crafty ladies!
It is colouring time ^^
I had this inspiration last year actually, but It took me a year to put it down on a sketchbook.
have I ever told you How much I am grateful to you all because If I didn't have you, this drawing would not come out so soon.
I was biking to home last year one afternoon, and I had to stop and look at the colours of leaves. I was looking at it for probably at least 30 min standing there beside of costco parking lot. - people in the car must be thinking this weird asian girl staring at the tree and stood there.. lol I didn't care - and I had this vision, a beautiful maple fairy looking at me between different coloured leaves. you can call me crazy but that is what I saw.
anyways, before all the leaves turn all yellow and fall down, I picked up some leaves off the ground and picked up all the pretty ones too ^^ now it is nice and dried, I think I will keep this for awhile.
Here is the video

HAIR HAIR HAIR PRACTICE #15
Who's ready for colouring practice???
Today's topic is HAIR
I just bought few copic refills!! yay! So I could do more colouring.
So, On this video I am just practicing with only colour pencils,
However, If you fill the light colour tone with markers, It always helps.
Otherwise Colour pencil actually takes much longer to get the solid colour.
another tip would be, look at the hair carefully on magazines or simply google it.
I learn so much all the time by just looking at it.
"She is slow like turtle"
My mom would look over from condo building watching me going to school.
and get so frustrated about how I take time going to school. I would stop and look at it everytime I see something interesting.
I thought there was something wrong with me. but If I think about it now? That is just who I am.
If you WANT! Here is the practice sheet I made for you to download Click HERE
Hope you like it, and hang out with me at TEW facebook group ^^

How I make sketch to digital stamp and sharing about me. -Unky's coloring therapy #14
I always ask my Designers Soooo, What should I make a video about this week!
and Lisa told me, I should make a video about me!!!
Oh dear, I am always so shy telling about myself. However, I think it was brilliant idea.
and It is a good chance to challenge myself.
I recorded a video while I make a new listing which is coming up next Monday ( AURORA'MAPLE' ) This way if you might have been qurious about how I make digis,
This video will show you ^^ I speed it up so much so It looks like I do it in 2 min, Oh I WISH! ^^;;;
So I added some text how I started my etsy shop and all. This is like a dream I am doing this!

Glass Doll Eyes - Unky's Colouring Therapy #13
It sure is fall, leaves are turning colours and nice and cool weather is just perfect!
I took some photos at Whistler this weekend, you can see it at my art blog post here
Okay, Let's get to the point ^^
Today's video I made is Glass doll eye tutorial.
I normally use two markers or two colour pencils
and black pencils. I used green colour pencils for this one.
draw a line where you want to leave it out for shinny part and fill it up with lighter green
colour top section with darker green,
and blend it out
bring darker green a bit lower on the edge of the iris to make it look round.
do it with black pencil to make it clear
add some shade under the eye lid, and blend out the pupil to make the eyes look cloudy, It is just optional.
Use gel pen to add shine.
Here is video I made, Hope you like it!
If you like this video, please subscribe. so you don't miss next Wednesday's therapy ;)

Susan's September Challenge #15 Showcase
Good morning everyone!
This is my showcase showing my Feel The Fall mid month challenge at The East Wind. Our theme for Challenge #15 is Feel The Fall. I can't wait until Fall and Winter! I LOVE the colder weather.. I hate the heat! LOL So here is what I came up for this challenge:
I used Lucy Loo Morning Coffee which you can find at The East Wind Shop. Okay... I know the eyes are really distracting LOL They are such a light green. I just LOVE green eyes! And hey.. they match the paper and the stitching LOL!! When I chose Lucy Loo Morning Coffee I was just thinking what a more perfect way to show fall than to be sipping some coffee or hot chocolate! Not to mention I LOVE Lucy Loo LOL!! The card cut was done with the Cameo.. I LOVED this card with the fall leaves edge. The papers are all scraps from my Fall papers last year. The sentiment is stamped and the label was also cut from the Cameo. I added the two black pearls on the sides. I used several different stamps for this one. I used the little acorn and the coffee beans along with that sentiment.I inked all around her with brown and I distressed the edges of the paper. I did add the stitching around the edge with a light green thread to match the green in the paper.. and her eyes of course! LOL She is all colored up with my Copic markers and decoupaged a bit. I popped her legs, that front arm and coffee mug and her head. I try to get photos of my decoupage.. sometimes it just doesn't turn out that great. I used the same papers on the inside and inked the top paper like I did around Lucy Loo. I added the bean stamp on the inside as well to get it all matching! And I think that is it!

Donna Showcasing New Zombie Pirate
I hope you all know about the new Zombie Contest on The East Wind FB Community page. Unky has created 4 new stamps, specifically for this contest, although feel free to "zombify" any of her fabulous images to enter. I was intrigued by the "Zombie who got killed by Captain Jack" because it's a great image for male cards, and you all know how hard those can be. I mean what guy doesn't like Pirates, or Zombies for that matter? LOL The DP is Tim Hotz, the treasure map was a freebie I found on the net. Thought I'd throw in a little Zombie humor with the sentiment. The BRAIN is from my pal Creepy Glowbugg.
I love coloring zombie skin with my fave combination of Warm Gray Copics with a bit of G21 for putrefaction. Isn't he FUN!? There's tons of inspiration on the TEW Community FB page so be sure to check it out. Also, this is the last day to enter our Feel the Fall Blog Challenge, so hurry and join us. New challenge starts October 1st.

I've always loved crafting, even as a little girl. My inspiration was my Daddy who was a wonderful artist and made beautiful 3-D Valentines for my teachers in grade school. Although I love all kinds of crafts I haven't had a real focus since abandoning counted cross stitch back in the 80's. Until I got my Cricut in 2008, that is. I've since expanded my horizons and found a new love in coloring both rubber and digi stamps with my Copics. Now I'm a blissfully retired card maker and paper crafter married 46 (!) years to a wonderful guy with two furbabies, Goliath (RIP) and Jezebel. Everyday I look forward to dreaming up designs and playing in my craft room. I invite you to share in my adventures.

Hair Hair Hair.... -Unky's coloring therapy #11
*I like to have sharp and loose part in my art.
on the part that you want to emphasis, there will be the brightest & darkest both in it, so it makes it even more clear. also you can see how I grab my pencil closer to lead for emphasis area vs. further hair, I kind of lay down the pencil and I grab my pencil further from lead.
*Strokes
On hair, follow the sketch lines. a lot of you call it 'flickering', start from dark to light, There are no secrets to it, practice will make it perfect. I don't think my strokes are the best neither. I have far way to go ^^.
Here is the video ^^

Funky Antique Doll with frame - Crafting Vicky
Hello everyone! There's a new challenge over at the East Wind FB group and the new challenge is about zombies!!! How perfect right?!? There's also a bunch of new released images just perfect for this new challenge!
In my case I used an older image and transformed it up. I used the fabulous Funky Antique Doll with frame.
The paper that I used for this card is from Teresa Collins - masquerade party. I added some flowers from Prima with some brads from eyelet outlet. I used my grand oval, grand decorative ovals and my large oval all from Spellbinder.
Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics.

Zombie FB Contest and New Release images!
Yesterday was a big day at The East Wind! We have a new Facebook contest and the theme is 'Zombies'... so of course, we
have to give you some Zombie images to work with! Come and check out the
new release - there are four fabulous images!
Up first is Glamzombie! She's a lady with issues! I've coloured her with a combination of Promarkers and WHSmith Blendable Pencils. I've coloured the background with Mowed Lawn, Dusty Concord and Black Soot Distress Inks and mounted on black pearlescent paper. The DP is from Martha Stewart.
The stickers are from my stash and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.
This zombie pirate type guy seems to be a little worse for wear! He's also coloured with Promarkers and pencils. The DP is from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium paper pack. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.
This image is called Broken Doll, I just love this!
Again, promarkers and pencils for added detail are my colouring medium. I have edged the image with Black Soot DI. The check paper is from Nikki Sivils 'Boo-tiful' paper pack, the other purple paper was in my stash. The black is a 160gsm card and I've used that to make the rolled rose too - that is from a Silhouette Store cut file. The card is finished with Metallic Purple Candi... which look black in the photo!
This final new image for today is called 'Broken Bisque'.
I have used Promarkers and Pencils to colour her and then coated her in Ranger Distress Crackle Paint in 'Clear Rock Candy' - this gives the cracked effect when dry. I then rubbed Black Soot DI across the image once the paint was dry. I have used the fabulous new Bon Bon papers from Craftwork Cards and a matching sentiment to finish.
