Donna Showcasing New Zombie Pirate
I hope you all know about the new Zombie Contest on The East Wind FB Community page. Unky has created 4 new stamps, specifically for this contest, although feel free to "zombify" any of her fabulous images to enter. I was intrigued by the "Zombie who got killed by Captain Jack" because it's a great image for male cards, and you all know how hard those can be. I mean what guy doesn't like Pirates, or Zombies for that matter? LOL The DP is Tim Hotz, the treasure map was a freebie I found on the net. Thought I'd throw in a little Zombie humor with the sentiment. The BRAIN is from my pal Creepy Glowbugg.
I love coloring zombie skin with my fave combination of Warm Gray Copics with a bit of G21 for putrefaction. Isn't he FUN!? There's tons of inspiration on the TEW Community FB page so be sure to check it out. Also, this is the last day to enter our Feel the Fall Blog Challenge, so hurry and join us. New challenge starts October 1st.

Donna Showcasing the New Lucy Loo 'Mad Hatter'
OOOh, it's Friday and another new FABULOUS release from The East Wind. It's Donna, showcasing Lucy Loo 'Mad Hatter' and I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm a huge AIW fan and Unky does these characters proud. I've made a tag with a base that has been moved around my table for several years and the fab DP's from Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland. The tattered clock die is Tim Holtz and I've added some tea time charms from my stash.
Doesn't Lucy Loo make a fab Mad Hatter? It's all in the attitude (or should I say "hattitude"). I've colored her with Copics and fussy cut her to pop on the tag. Stay tuned for more characters from The East Wind. You might just fall down the rabbit hole.

Donna Showcasing Lucy Loo 'Crown'
Hi guys, it's Donna today showcasing the a gorgeous new image at The East Wind today. Here is Lucy Loo 'crown'. Besides being totally fabulous in her own right, in addition to the normal jpg, png, no back ground png and light lines for no lines coloring, this digi also comes with a BLACK background. I'm all over that! How dramatic, and no fussy cutting, eh? Well, while in my Printmaster Pro program I also did a bit of playing with other colors, turning the entire digi royal blue, teal, and deep red. Here's the result. How cool is that?
To start, I decided on the deep red background. Thought it would be fun to do something totally monochromatic. So here's my coloring. Believe it or not, I only used TWO colors of Copics. TWO! That's it!
E04 and R000 that's all it took, and here's the finished card. Awesome, eh? Imagine the possibilities. Unfortunately, because of my trip, I was unable to color more before I went, but I plan to make a whole set of these as well as coloring her up brightly using the fab black background. Love this new option for this image, don't you?
My DT sisters have their own renditions of Lucy Loo 'crown' that you can see on The East Wind FB page as well as The East Wind Group page where a new FB contest started while I was gone and the theme is AAARgh...Pirates. And stay tuned for our next Blog Challenge which starts Sept 1.

Donna Showcasing Lucy Loo 'Cat on the Head'
Hey there, Donna here, showcasing the newest stamp from The East Wind called Lucy Loo 'Cat on the Head'. Gotta say, she cracks me up so I thought she'd be a great reminder of the "Just for a Laugh" FB Contest going on through August 17th. Since it was all about the hair, I used bobby pin DP from the DCWV All About Girls mat stack and framed her with my Spellbinders Labels Twenty Eight. My BFF Lisa helped me come up with the sentiment and I couldn't resist adding a mousey border done with my MS punch.
Lucy Loo was so much fun to color with my Copics and I just can't stop giggling about that cat on her head. You can always count on Lucy Loo to inspire a humorous sentiment with that attitude of hers (or in this case, should I say "cattitude"? LOL). Come join our contest FB and make us laugh.

Having a Little Siesta
It's Donna here, bringing you another example of a new digi format available when you purchase the latest digis at The East Wind. Previously, the stamps came in jpg (solid) and png (totally transparent) format. The newest stamps now also come with light lines for coloring with the "No Lines" technique as well as the png Transparent background, which allows you to print your image directly over digital paper or a photograph. Here I've used the adorable new Aurora 'Siesta' which debuted this past Monday in The East Wind Shop. She's printed over a digi paper all ready for coloring. No fussy cutting required.
And here she is all colored up with Copics. Isn't that fun? Although I've added some matting and cut out my computer generated sentiment, you can easily do a one layer card that is much easier to mail.
Here's another example using Lucy Loo 'It's Hot outside'. Again I've used the png transparent background and a copyright free photo I found on the net (you can even use your own). The possibilities are endless. Each Monday and Friday a new stamp debuts in The East Wind Shop. Be in the know by joining our FB group where we share our fabulous East Wind creations and LIKE The East Wind FB page. Our Wedded Bliss contest is still open through July 17th on FB and look for a new East Wind Blog Challenge July 15th (shhh...not telling. LOL) See ya there!

TEW Challenge #4 with Donna Mundinger
It's Donna posting here today with details of my card for the current Use a Sentiment Challenge. The DT has used the adorable Aurora Easter Egg Hunt which is available FREE for signing up for the TEW newsletter. Just look for the big hot pink banner on the right side of the Challenge page, fill in your info and you will receive this adorable image for FREE. And there's a new one for each month, Woohoo!
I've used my Cricut to make a "Panoramic Egg" card for this adorable image. It reminds me of the decorative hollowed out sugar eggs I had as a child with the fun scenes inside.
I printed her several times, colored her with Copics, flocked her jammies and bunny and layered her for dimension. I've used MS punches for the grass and fence and a Cuttlebug die for the computer generated sentiment.
Stay tuned for our new Challenge on the 15th but remember, Aurora Easter Egg Hunt will be available through April 30th.
